Thank God its Monday

Thank God Its Monday by Jimi Tewe. Well, the first thing that you might think is 'why should we thank God especially thinking about what happened in Nigeria yesterday'. Getting to send this message this morning was initially a little challenging as its difficult to send the usual 'inspirational' message that empowers individuals when there is a national challenge, and even an emotional one for a number of people, at hand. At times like this, there are 3 parties we need to consider. For those that are gone, the question to ask is where they are now on the other side of eternity. For the families, friends & colleagues affected, the emotional challenges they will face at this time will feel enormous and my prayer for them is that 'The God of ALL Comfort' will console them. For you the reader & others still alive, these incidents again remind us to reflect on the essence of being alive. Outside of purpose, existence makes no sense. This applies to inanimate things and human beings. If there is one thing we must learn at this time, it will be to revisit the purpose for our creation by our creator. As the nation turns to God in this challenging time, let's not turn to Him now and turn away again when things get 'ok'. In spite of the increasing dangers in our world today, the name of the Lord is still a strong tower & when the righteous run into it, they are safe. Pray for Nigeria & your loved ones from a point of faith & not of fear. God is still mindful of you and will make things work for you.
